Transforming Global Supply Chain
Transforming Global Supply Chain
Global Supply Chain industry has been working in Silos for a long time. There have been many changes happened in the last many years due to the introduction of the Internet, e-commerce and global trade but nothing significant has shifted the way we were conducting the business. Global International trade reached USD$ 31 trillion in 2016 and growing continuously. The industry has long relied on human inputs and capabilities, but now due to the introduction of the Internet of Things (IoT), Software as a Service (SaaS), Machine learnings (ML) and Artificial Intelligence (AI) integrated with Blockchain is moving the industry forward to the new era.
Introducing Global Supply Chain Pty Ltd (GSC), a Melbourne, Australia based global supply chain company which was established in 2017 by a team with decades of industry experience in supply chain, logistics, education, and information technology across the world.
The GSC vision is to use blockchain technology to bring the global supply chain into the digital era and supply a platform to connect manufacturers to the consumer by making the entire supply chain process transparent to each party in-between. The project has received valuable mentorship and guidance from global authorities like NASA, CASC, and APOFCO.
Let me explain the impact the GSC will be having on common citizens. As an Australian, you may appreciate the term “Made In” carries the meaning of quality and high standards to many consumers these days. Due to the increase in demand for quality products imported/exported between countries, new issues are emerging which challenge local businesses, exporters, and consumers of products.
These include:
• The rise of low-quality counterfeit products exported which damages our country’s brand resulting in loss of market share and profitability of genuine businesses
• The high cost and limited options to maintain the freshness of perishable goods while transporting to its destination
• The lack of data in understanding the current level of supply and demand of various types of products in the local country and overseas
The solution is making the entire supply chain process transparent using technologies like the Internet of Things (IoT), Software as a Service (SaaS), Machine Learning (ML) with Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Blockchain. We are at a critical stage at the moment with great transformations moving our world to the virtual and digital world. The fact is undeniable that the wealth of humankind is gradually moving more & more towards virtual and information world, that explains teenagers creating a million dollar industries by just having a YouTube channel.
GSC is founded with the mission to solve this huge problem facing the industry today. We know that technology is changing every part of our daily lives. In recent month, one of the most vital aspects of our life is that it has received considerable attention from a technology like Blockchain; this technology is revolutionising the way we conduct businesses around the world. The problem in the existing supply chain system is that every contributor in the end to end delivery of the goods works in isolation. GSC was founded to bridge this gap by using Blockchain based Ethereum distributed ledger.
The GSC team is led by Michael Sevo, who has dedicated the past 20 years of working life to the supply chain industry. He was also the Founder and Director of Freightstar Pty Ltd, a global logistics company, and on the Board of Directors for Sköobee Pty Ltd Hi-Tech sat enabled gadgets. Throughout his career, he has executed large-scale projects for multinational corporations and government bodies on several continents. He has connected cultures and economies through an international logistics network spanning over 125 countries, delivering seamless logistics solutions.
Michael is the perfect leader to lead the GSC and bring this innovation to the supply chain industry. As per Michael, “GSC was founded with the vision of integrating the latest technologies under patents and licenses through partnerships to bring about logistics solutions through blockchain technology, effectively maximising efficiencies along each link of the global supply chain, minimising costs and reducing lead times.”
As they say, the leader is not a leader without his team. Michael has a fantastic and capable team behind him to help him succeed with his vision. Industry leaders like Jag Jassel, Anthony Vippond, Robert Drew, Leon Liu and Lincoln Ren. The entire team has more than 100 years of experience between them and previously provided solutions to major Australian corporations like Telstra, NAB, BHP, ANZ, etc.
The GSC project is at Stage 1 at the moment, and 2018 is going to very important to get the foundations right.
Here is the roadmap for 2018:
• Complete the Whitepaper
• Start development of GSC Platform
• Create GSC Private Wallet for their tokens
• Private Placement of the tokens
• GSC Tokens registered on exchanges
• Launch GSC Platform online — including the template for basic smart contracts, Android client terminal
• Test Smart Agent-to-point transactions

We genuinely believe that with the access to technologies like Blockchain and IoT in the mainstream of supply chain will have a significant impact on the industry.
